We all love statistics and despite the fact that is already 2014, I will provide some very interesting statistics about Cyber Monday and Amazon in 2013. Just an example how powerful the e-commerce business is today. Without a doubt, Cyber Monday is the most popular shopping event (if I can call it like that) of the years, where brands offer product on the very low prices. It`s day of the year, where you can get your favorite smartphone, music player, laptop or why not even a sound system.
Amazon states that during this day (2nd of December) the sum of total 36, 7 million products were sold worldwide. If we make the calculations, this makes the astonishing 426 product orders per second from the Amazon website. Just imagine the picture in the Amazon warehouses at that moment.
The company even provide us with detail information, which were the top selling products. I will provide only few of them, because the list is too long:
- Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch and Kindle Fire HDX 8.9-inch
- Samsung Chromebook, ASUS Transformer Book and Acer Chromebook
- Samsung 32-inch Smart Led HDTV, Samsung 40-inch LED HDTV and Samsung 22-inch Slim LED HDTV
- Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox 360, Call of Duty: Ghosts for Xbox 360 and Just Dance 2014 for Nintendo Wii
These were a few top products from the long list from Amazon. This is giving online retailer enough evidence how powerful is the online shopping industry today. Of course, most of the retailer cannot imagine competing with Amazon, but there is always a piece of this market for the most motivate and desire to success people. Don`t stop building your online strategy and 2014 will be successful for you.
